Custom Breeding Available!
Atigrado Acres offers a unique program: Create
your own Spanish Jennet – Walkaloosa horse or Gaited Mule foal! Interested
in a particular mare bred to a certain Stallion or our Jack? We
will consider custom breeding requests. We offer you the opportunity
to custom create your own foal with the Atigrado Acres stallion and mare
of your own choice. The client chooses the mare - stallion combination
of their choice. You may select one of our carefully chosen, well gaited
mares, then choose any of our stallions or our Mammoth Jack. After
making the choice on the match, the buyer signs the contract and makes
a 20% deposit on the baby, who is yet unborn. The balance to be paid in
installments, paid in full 30 days prior to the birth of the foal. This
comes with a live foal guarantee- if the mare doesn't deliver a live foal
who can stand and nurse, the breeding is repeated. Details on mare care
and foal care costs same as In-Utero Purchase. ( See below) We will handle
EVERYTHING else. After weaning, you pick up your custom-made horse -- guaranteed
to lead, tie, bathe and load quietly... Please
contact us for more info.
In-Utero Purchase
You no longer have to buy a quality broodmare,
pay the board and upkeep on her, get her bred, deal with the pregnancy
and the foaling, and spend countless hours working with a new foal. We
offer you a wonderful alternative. When you purchase the unborn offspring
of one of our quality mares, we handle all the vet checks, maintain the
mare, administer all the vaccinations, spend the countless hours of "foal
watch," attend the foaling, imprint the foal, handle the daily training
and the weaning of the foal. Atigrado Acres will provide proper care for
the mare and give her optimal guidance with the birthing process. The mare
receives wonderful, regular care and Atigrado Acres gives periodic updates
to the buyer on her progress. Our mares are well fed and receive regular
vet, dental, and farrier care. The buyer is more than welcome to come and
visit the mare at any reasonable time. We will contact the buyer when the
foal arrives. The buyer can either come in person to see the foal or we
will email photos and video. After the birth, the foal will remain at Atigrado
Acres for three to five months, until weaned. During this period mother
and foal will receive expert care and also take part in the training program
at Atigrado Acres. We will handle EVERYTHING else. After weaning, you pick
up your foal -- guaranteed to lead, tie, bathe and load quietly...
Atigrado Acres boards the mare, foals the mare
and is responsible for all prenatal and postnatal care. Once it has been
determined that the Live Foal Guarantee has been fulfilled the buyer becomes
responsible for the foal's costs, Board for mare and foal is at no cost
to the buyer. Atigrado Acres will do everything in its power to ensure
the foal's safety before it is weaned, but Mortality Insurance is recommended.
Care and training until the foal is weaned, and 10 days there after is
included in the In-Utero Purchase price. Costs the buyer is responsible
for: are all foal Veterinary costs, including vaccinations and de-worming,
Farrier costs. Post weanling, the buyer will pay for board, feed and care
if the foal is not picked up or shipped within 10 days of weaning.
Cost involved in the registration of the foal
at no cost to the buyer. You may name the foal anything you like, with
the AA suffix required at the end of the name.

on the foal, and the cost of the transportation from Atigrado Acres to
your home, which you will be responsible for arranging for & paying
for.
If you would like to pre-purchase a foal from
a particular mare, we will accept a $500 deposit to secure the foal at
the special in-utero price. No guarantee on the sex or color of the foal
will be made. If the mare should miscarry, the live foal guarantee means
the mare is re-bred for a foal next year or you may transfer any payments
towards the purchase of the horse or foal of your choice.

contact us for more info.
Atigrado Acres also offers the option of “foal
kindergarten” and those foals who we sell receive a lower rate for training/board
then outside horses. We strive very hard to work with the buyer.
We will not breed, raise or sell any horse we would not want for ourselves.
About our full Paso Fino Bloodlines, from
Registered Stock Horses.
We no longer choose to register our horses with
PFHA, have not done so for several years. Therefore the horses will not
have PFHA papers. In most instances they will be eligible for registration
or are registered with the The
North American Single-Footing Horse Association.
These horses are top of the line in quality for
gait, presence, brains and endurance. Some of the top lines for the Show
Ring are in these horses, selected over years of breeding. Often times
they are 4th, 5th or 6th generation born on my farm where I have owned
all the dams and usually the sires. They will in most instances have an
EXCELLENT Largo, we have always bred for lines that were capable of speed
while not sacrificing gait.
We are phasing out this portion of our breeding
program, as we have moved to breeding the Spanish Jennet horse and will
no longer be making these crosses. MOST of the Gray's offered were bred
to facilitate producing a breeding animal for our own broodmare or stallion
use. However we cannot use a Gray in the program, so when the genetic dice
roll gave us one, you have the opportunity to purchase a top quality animal
that otherwise would not be for sale. Other non-gray's available are ones
that for what ever reason we do not need in the breeding program.
Since 2006, we have only used our Gray Broodmares
in our Gaited Mule program. |
