Register  NSFHA, full Paso Fino From Registered Stock. A bit over 13 HH. Lots of presence and gait smooth as silk. Up to date on all shots, dewormed and trimmed on regular schedule. Leads and ties, loads in trailer, lounges and bathes well. Solid, medium build. moves well, and is very smart. Porthos is exceptionally people friendly, and a very flashy gait. He gets along great with other horses. Really great to work with, has a great mind and disposition.

Started carrying a saddle on 3-18-07, did well in training, no fireworks! Loads, leads, stands tied, stands for farrier. Through 2007 is on a schedule where he is handled 2 x's a week with his age group. He he is caught, brushed, feet picked out and stands tied for about 2 hours. During that time he and the others in his group are being worked and who ever is not being handled gets to stand tied for practice. Handling at this stage consists of sacking out, lounging, being led over Cavalletti and other obstacles. Added a saddle 3-18-07, he was VERY good with the process and will now carry a saddle when ever he is being worked.

Began riding in November 2007, solid gait, rides well with other horses and by himself. Has been in small groups of riders on trail rides. Jan 2008 began taking out on the trails alone as well as with one other green horse. Crossing streams, riding beside the road, began canter work from the walk.

10-08 becoming a bit opinionated about work at the farm, good on trails but occasionally begins to balk at work in the round pen or other at home work. Not BAD, just a bit stubborn.
